The musician was rushed to the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka for emergency treatment but succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Thursday.

Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema paid tribute to the artist, calling him an “extraordinary talent” who “touched lives far and wide,” transcending boundaries through his music and charisma.

Dandy Krazy’s daughter, Comfort, shared an emotional farewell to her father, expressing, “Daddy, you have answered the Lord’s call on Shanice’s birthday, your third-born. Even in death, we will always love you, Papa. Lord, your will hurts.”

Known for his political commentary, Dandy Krazy used his music to address Zambia’s social and economic issues. His 2011 hit, “Donchi Kubeba,” played a pivotal role in the Patriotic Front’s victory that year, helping to end the 20-year rule of the Movement for Multiparty Democracy. In recognition of his influence, he was honored with the Grand Commander of the Order of Freedom by then-President Michael Sata.

His music, including songs like “Chintelelwe” and collaborations on tracks like “Chipuba Chandi” and “Temperature,” solidified his status as an icon in Zambian culture. Politician Sakwiba Sikota likened Dandy Krazy’s impact to that of global legends like Bob Marley and Nina Simone.

Shocking Insight: Don Jazzy Reveals Key Reason Marriages Don’t Last Today.

Published

Nigerian music executive Don Jazzy has sparked reactions online after sharing a lighthearted explanation about why many modern marriages seem to break down faster than those of previous generations.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a video that quickly went viral on social media, the Mavin Records boss used wedding cakes as a humorous analogy to compare past and present relationships.

He noted that in earlier times, couples often used fruit cakes made with alcohol for weddings. According to him, such cakes were durable and could last for long periods—sometimes up to a year—allowing couples to preserve and even share portions during their first wedding anniversary.

He jokingly suggested that this long-lasting nature of traditional cakes symbolically reflected the stability of marriages in the past.

Don Jazzy contrasted this with today’s trend, where many couples opt for butter or ice-cream cakes that require careful storage and spoil more easily.

He humorously implied that the shorter lifespan of these modern cakes mirrors the perceived fragility of some contemporary marriages.

He also pointed out that many modern wedding cakes are often heavily decorated with non-edible materials, with only a small portion actually meant for consumption.

According to him, this often leads to disagreements within the label, as he encourages them to consistently showcase their projects online to boost visibility and engagement.

Don Jazzy noted that the issue is not limited to his signed artists alone, adding that even family members involved in entertainment face similar conversations with him.

He expressed confusion over what he described as a growing belief among Gen Z creatives that frequent self-promotion is unnecessary, stressing that consistent online visibility is important in today’s music industry.
