Victor Osimhen Remains Committed To Galatasaray Amid Manchester United Pursuit

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Red Devils have already begun talks with Osimhen’s representatives, positioning themselves as the frontrunners for the highly-rated forward, despite interest from other major clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
Manchester United’s offensive problems have been glaring, with only 21 goals scored across all competitions so far this season, making them one of the lowest-scoring teams in the Premier League, ahead of just four other clubs.
However, in order to facilitate the move, the club would need to negotiate an additional payment to Galatasaray, where Osimhen is currently on a season-long loan, to terminate the agreement. Despite the interest, Osimhen has publicly stated he intends to stay at Galatasaray until the end of the season, commenting after scoring twice in a thrilling 3-2 win over Tottenham, “I will not leave in January; I am at Galatasaray until the end of the season.”
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray in September, has been in exceptional form, netting 12 goals and providing 5 assists in just 15 appearances across all competitions, which has increased his desirability in the transfer market.
While Napoli’s release clause for Osimhen is reportedly £75 million, sources suggest they may consider a lower offer of £63.3 million in January. This would still represent a significant outlay for any club.
Former Galatasaray coach Hamza Hamzaoğlu has expressed doubts about the Turkish club’s ability to make a permanent deal for Osimhen, stating, “It is difficult for Galatasaray to buy Victor Osimhen. I can confidently say that they cannot.”
Manchester United’s season has been rocky, with recent back-to-back losses to Bournemouth and Wolves. The team currently sits in 14th place in the Premier League, dangerously close to the relegation zone and far from the top four.
