Soludo had condemned the involvement of some native doctors in criminal acts, including assisting kidnappers and armed robbers by preparing charms. In a statement, Mefor stressed that the governor’s focus is on eradicating individuals using traditional medicine as a cover for illegal practices, such as human sacrifices and diabolical rituals, often associated with criminal groups like ‘Ego Mbute’ and ‘Yahoo Plus.’
Mefor reassured that legitimate traditional practitioners have nothing to fear, as the government values their contributions to society. He explained that Soludo’s approach is to tackle those who mislead youths and contribute to societal decay through criminal practices disguised as traditional medicine.
