Edo Prison Officers Celebrate Promotions, Commit To Enhanced Service Delivery

A total of 109 officers from the Edo State Command of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) have been promoted to new ranks. The official decoration ceremony took place on Thursday, December 12, in Benin City, where they were presented with their new ranks by the State Controller of Corrections, Philomena Emehinola.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In her speech, Emehinola, who was also promoted to Assistant Controller General, urged the newly promoted officers to display greater commitment to their duties. She emphasized that these promotions signify a greater responsibility and encouraged the officers to improve their work ethic and maintain discipline.

Emehinola acknowledged the support of President Bola Tinubu, noting that since his administration began, there has been significant progress, including the promotion of over 12,000 personnel in 2024. She assured officers that future promotions would be timely and encouraged everyone to continue moving the service forward with hard work and discipline.

Addressing those not promoted, Emehinola reassured them that their time for advancement would come and encouraged them to remain prepared for future opportunities.

She also shared the specific promotions: eight officers were promoted to Deputy Controller (DC), eight to Assistant Controller (AC), 12 to Chief Superintendent, 10 to Superintendent, 32 to Deputy Superintendent, 22 to Assistant Superintendent I, and 13 to Assistant Superintendent III.
