Onanuga Clarifies Tax Reform Bills, Urges Leaders To Avoid Polarizing Comments

In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Presidency emphasized that the reforms aim to streamline Nigeria’s tax system and create a more conducive environment for businesses.

Addressing Concerns About Agency Closures

Onanuga dismissed claims, including those from Zulum, that the reforms would abolish agencies like TETFUND, NASENI, and NITDA. He explained that the bill only seeks to consolidate company taxes and introduce a single tax structure, without scrapping any agency.
