Northern Leadership Must Take Responsibility, Not Shift Blame – Kwankwaso

Ilyasu Musa Kwankwaso, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) to abandon the blame game and focus on addressing the pressing challenges facing the nation....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking in response to recent criticisms directed at the Federal Government by the ACF, Kwankwaso urged the group to prioritize the broader national interest while seeking solutions for the issues troubling the northern region.

“The North must look inward and take responsibility for solving its challenges rather than shifting blame or transferring unnecessary aggression to President Tinubu,” Kwankwaso stated.

He highlighted the remarks of former Sokoto State Governor, Attahiru Bafarawa, on the need for unity in the North to effectively tackle its myriad of problems. Kwankwaso emphasized that the region’s current struggles, including banditry, predate the Tinubu administration, having been inherited from previous governments.

“Banditry remains the North’s greatest challenge,” Kwankwaso noted, “and resolving this issue will allow farmers to return to their land, boosting agricultural productivity and regional stability.”

Kwankwaso also reflected on the historical leadership imbalance, pointing out that nine of Nigeria’s past heads of state hailed from the North, compared to only three from the South. He questioned why previous administrations failed to address the region’s persistent problems effectively.

He concluded by urging collective action to overcome obstacles hindering progress in the North, emphasizing fairness and self-reflection. “We must resolve to confront these challenges together and ensure meaningful progress for the region,” he added.

In a post shared on her verified X handle on Thursday night, the Edo-born reality star revealed she has been facing difficult times and expressed her frustrations with her family’s lack of support throughout her life.

Phyna shared her emotional thoughts, writing, “I am officially dropping my family surname, Otabor. It’s clear I have no family, and no one knows how I even came into this world. I’m still trying to figure that out.”

She went on to explain how challenging her journey has been, revealing the emotional strain caused by being neglected by relatives as she grew up. “It’s been tough lately. I can’t even put into words what I’m feeling right now. I was tossed around by relatives when I was younger, but I didn’t realize it then,” she shared.

This revelation follows a public dispute earlier this year when Phyna’s father, Mr. Otabor, criticized her for not offering financial support to him and his family since her rise to fame.
