What Happens To Your Body During Fasting: Key Changes And Insights....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Whether you are fasting or not, the body continuously requires energy, primarily derived from glucose, a type of sugar.

Glucose typically comes from carbohydrates found in foods such as grains, dairy, fruits, certain vegetables, beans, and even sweets.

Once the body meets its immediate energy needs, any excess glucose is stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen.

These glycogen stores can be released into the bloodstream as needed to supply energy.

However, during fasting, the body’s processes change. After approximately 18 to 24 hours of fasting, the liver begins to deplete its glycogen reserves.

At this point, the body enters a state called gluconeogenesis, where it starts producing glucose from fat stores, indicating a transition into fasting mode.

As fasting continues and carbohydrate sources remain unavailable, the body eventually exhausts its fat reserves.

When this occurs, the body enters starvation mode, a more critical state in which it begins to slow down metabolism and break down muscle tissue for energy.

While “starvation mode” is a common term in dieting discussions, true starvation typically occurs only after several days or weeks without food.

For individuals fasting for up to 24 hours, it is generally safe to abstain from food for a day, as long as there are no underlying health conditions that could pose risks during fasting.

African Action Congress (AAC) 2027 presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has cautioned citizens against falling for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s stance on reversing the fuel subsidy. Atiku, who is running under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), previously pledged to restore the subsidy if elected, arguing that the current administration’s removal of the policy has brought no advantages to the country.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In response via an X post, Sowore rejected Atiku’s remarks, asserting that the AAC remains the sole political party that has steadfastly opposed the subsidy removal from the outset. He accused Atiku and other establishment politicians of shifting their stances based on political convenience and foreign capitalist interests, stating that they should not be permitted to rewrite history or masquerade as genuine opposition figures. Sowore further claimed that it was the AAC’s unwavering position at the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference in Port Harcourt that actually rattled the Tinubu government, rather than any actions from Atiku’s camp.
