From Underdog To Powerhouse: The Unstoppable Rise Of Senator Monday Okpebholo And His Governorship Dream....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

By Adolphus Arebanmhen Aletor

Senator Monday Okpebholo’s victory in the National Assembly elections was no fluke. It was a divine orchestration that made him the first individual to win such an exalted office in Edo Central Senatorial zone, a zone previously dominated by the PDP. His journey to victory was marked by numerous challenges, including facing formidable opponents and significant financial outlays. Despite these obstacles, Akpakomiza emerged triumphant at all levels.

However, his governorship aspiration has been met with scepticism and negative campaigns from those who fear his emergence. They have attempted to portray him as weak and feeble, but their efforts have only increased his popularity. Like the biblical Joseph, Akpakomiza has faced numerous attacks, which have become the bedrock of his popularity.

Opposition merchants have employed various tactics to discredit him, including mocking his English proficiency, betraying his trust at previously granted interviews, and orchestrating negative media campaigns. However, Akpakomiza has proven himself to be a formidable candidate, uncovering traps and connecting with his people.

While his opponents focus on polls, debates, and media appearances, Akpakomiza knows that true strength lies in his connection with the people. His campaign has garnered significant support and shown organic strength at the grassroots level. As the election approaches, it is clear that Akpakomiza has a great followership.

Edolites should look beyond ephemeral activities and engage with Akpakomiza as the candidate who can deliver real change. Appearances seeking validation from outsiders are futile. Polls do not win elections; votes do. Therefore, Edolites should come out en masse to vote for Akpakomiza and the APC to ensure a brighter future for Edo State.

Olaposi also claimed that only a minority of Kwankwasiya supporters followed Kwankwaso, insisting that many of them have since joined the APC.

He further accused Atiku of misinformation, stressing that NNPP remains an independent political party focused on contesting elections on its own platform.

Momodu had argued that a pairing of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi could perform strongly in the election, citing their past collaboration in 2019 and Obi’s 2023 electoral performance.

Responding, Tanko questioned the logic of choosing a candidate who might win a primary but lose the general election, insisting that the Obi–Kwankwaso combination would be more formidable.

He further warned that if the ADC fails to zone its presidential ticket to the South, the party risks losing the 2027 election.

Tanko maintained that with Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso on the same ticket, victory would be decisive and swift.
