A tragic shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, on Wednesday resulted in the deaths of four individuals and left several others injured. The victims included two students, Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both aged 14, as well as two teachers, Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Christina Irimie, 53.

In 2023, local law enforcement interviewed Gray following anonymous tips to the FBI regarding online threats involving a school shooting. Although threats were reported, the FBI stated there was no probable cause for an arrest at that time. Gray’s father indicated that while they owned hunting guns, Gray did not have unsupervised access to them.
