What could even be the reason behind this? It is simply because of a bad choice of leadership which brought in incompetent leaders.

Let’s take this current government for an instance. When Obaseki was vying for the governorship office of Edo state, he promised the dear Edo people that he would provide 200,000 jobs for the unemployed, quality road infrastructure, good health care system, a robust educational system, a new seaport, an additional airport, and so many other things. But it’s very obvious that all these are in mirage, Obaseki and his cabinets are very delusional. The height of it all is the disregard for our traditional leaders, who are the custodians of our culture and traditions.

He recounted how his father narrowly escaped death after being implicated in an alleged coup during Nigeria’s military era.

Speaking in an interview, the actor explained that the incident occurred while he was still an infant. His father, Colonel Moses Effiong, was arrested after being linked to a plot reportedly aimed at removing former Head of State Ibrahim Babangida from power.

According to him, the situation began when his father was informed of the alleged plan by a close colleague in the military. This left him in a tough position—whether to keep silent or report the information. However, when the plot was eventually uncovered, the colleague was arrested and later mentioned Colonel Effiong during interrogation.
