Nollywood Crisis: Kanayo O. Kanayo Warns Of Men’s Endangerment In Film Industry....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Nollywood icon Kanayo O. Kanayo has expressed concern over what he describes as men becoming an “endangered species.”

In a recent episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, co-hosted by Husband Material and Deity Cole, Kanayo lamented that affluent men in Nigeria often lavish financial benefits on female actors, which he believes undermines the perception of male actors’ hard work.

He remarked, “Many wealthy Nigerian men patronize our female colleagues, providing them with financial support that makes it appear as though we, the male actors, are not working hard enough.”

Kanayo emphasized the disparity in support, saying, “If a woman asks for N100 million to N150 million for a production, she gets it. But if it were me, KOK, they would say, ‘Go and work hard, my friend.'”

He highlighted a broader societal issue, noting, “Consider this: have you ever seen a woman asking for financial assistance for medical expenses? It’s typically men. We are becoming endangered, that’s my concern.”

Blood Money Ultimatum: South Africa Ordered To Pay R1 Billion For Every Nigerian Life Lost To Xenophobia

Nigerians residing in South Africa are pushing for heavier penalties against the South African government in response to persistent xenophobic violence directed at Nigerians and other foreign nationals.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Akaninyene Willie, President of the Akwa Ibom Indigenes Forum in South Africa, voiced this stance while commenting on the Nigerian Federal Government’s recent move to block further official travel by state officials to the country. Willie argued that Nigeria must step up diplomatic pressure, which should include demanding no less than one billion rand in reparations for every Nigerian killed or Nigerian-owned business destroyed in the attacks.

Speaking via phone, Willie expressed frustration that South African authorities have not taken full accountability for the losses suffered by Nigerians and other Africans. He noted the historical support Nigeria provided during South Africa’s liberation struggle, adding, “They have preferred to pay us back by killing and exhibiting hatred for us.” He also suggested that the matter could be escalated to the International Criminal Court (ICC) if the African Union continues to offer no assistance. Furthermore, Willie urged both the federal and state governments to speed up the evacuation process for thousands of stranded Nigerians still awaiting repatriation.

Weighing in on these demands, legal practitioner Osai Ahiakwo described the call for reparations as justified, though he deemed the travel ban by the Nigerian government to be inadequate. While acknowledging that restricting official travel carries diplomatic weight—signaling displeasure and showing that routine engagements cannot proceed unbothered while citizens are targeted—Ahiakwo emphasized that it fails to provide practical protection on the ground.

“It does not investigate killings, prosecute perpetrators, provide immediate protection to persons at risk or bring relief to families who have lost their loved ones,” Ahiakwo stated. He recommended that the Federal Government leverage the travel restrictions to compel South African authorities into taking concrete steps, such as protecting Nigerian residents, investigating killings, and bringing the culprits to justice.

Political Showdown: Tinubu’s Ex-Aide Fires Ultimatum At Wike—Join APC Or Quit As Minister!

Published

on

Denge Josef Onoh, a former spokesman for President Bola Tinubu in the South-East, has issued a strong ultimatum to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT): either fully join the All Progressives Congress (APC) or cease his interference in the ruling party’s internal affairs.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a statement released in Abuja, Onoh, who also chairs the Forum of Former Members of the Enugu State House of Assembly, attacked the political alliance currently being promoted by Wike. He labeled it a “Rainbow Coalition” and a “Trojan horse,” warning that it poses a significant threat to party unity and could jeopardize the APC’s prospects in the 2027 general elections.

“This so-called ‘Rainbow Coalition’ is a toxic distraction, a political mirage, and a well-calculated vehicle for personal ambition that will ultimately undermine the All Progressives Congress and jeopardise the presidential election if left unchecked,” Onoh asserted.

He further argued that Wike’s coalition lacks the necessary political infrastructure to deliver significant votes for President Tinubu outside of Rivers State. Onoh contended that Wike’s influence is largely confined to his home state and criticized the attempt to apply a “fractured blueprint” on a national scale.

The former presidential aide also rejected any comparisons between Wike’s current political maneuvering and the G5 governors’ alliance that preceded the 2023 election. He emphasized that the G5 was a powerful bloc of five serving governors who controlled established party structures and were driven by defined regional interests.

In contrast, Onoh dismissed Wike’s new coalition as lacking institutional weight. He stated, “Today, Wike’s new ‘Rainbow Coalition’ has completely crumbled from that standard. It is not an alliance of powerful state executives; it is a desperate collection of political castaways, disgruntled ex-office holders, and floating political contractors who hold no real electoral value in their own political wards.”

Onoh also took aim at recent public disagreements between Wike and APC governors AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara) and Hope Uzodimma (Imo). He characterized these disputes as a “diversionary tactic,” alleging that the FCT Minister is deliberately stoking tensions in the North-Central and South-East to weaken existing APC structures.

“By attacking highly respected APC governors who are the authentic custodians of the party’s grassroots votes, Wike is actively sowing the same seeds of discord that he used to tear the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) apart,” Onoh alleged, accusing Wike of attempting to destabilize the APC using the same playbook that led to deep divisions within the PDP.

Onoh explicitly rejected the idea of a “transactional arrangement,” where voters might be encouraged to support President Tinubu while voting for candidates from opposition parties in National Assembly races. He argued that because presidential and legislative elections occur simultaneously, such a strategy would undermine the APC’s ability to secure a crucial majority in the legislature.

“We cannot exchange a robust, organic party victory for a transactional arrangement,” he said, citing the 2023 elections in Enugu State as evidence that cross-party support strategies ultimately harm the main party’s chances.

Onoh concluded by urging APC stakeholders to reject any efforts to create parallel political structures within the party and demanded clarity from Wike regarding his political allegiance.

He added, “Nigeria’s political space has no room for double agents, political rent-collectors, or part-time allegiance. You cannot have one foot in the PDP, keep the other foot floating in a vague coalition, and expect to dictate the fortunes and internal architecture of the APC.

“Our position is simple: either Nyesom Wike fully, formally and unconditionally registers as a card-carrying member of the APC at his political ward, or he must step aside immediately.”

Onoh maintained that the APC possesses sufficient structure and grassroots support across the nation to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election without Wike’s involvement, which he described as a “damaging, self-serving distraction.”

Terror Alert: Osun Churches, Mosques, And Markets Marked For Bloodshed In Chilling Attack Plot.

The Department of State Services (DSS) has alerted Christian and Muslim leaders in Osun State regarding a suspected terrorist plot targeting worship centers and public spaces to disrupt the upcoming 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Intelligence reports indicate that terrorists intend to spread insecurity into the South-West and southern regions of Nigeria to manufacture tension ahead of the presidential poll. Following these warnings, DSS operatives convened separate briefings with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Muslim community in Osogbo to outline precautionary steps.

Mustapha Olawuyi, the President of the Osun State Muslim Community, verified the Wednesday meeting in Osogbo, noting that security agencies have been proactive with intelligence sharing. He recalled prior instances where communities intercepted about 200 herders from the Ikirun axis alongside foreign motorcyclists and turned them back.

Olawuyi detailed the security directives issued by officials from Abuja:

  • Electoral Threat: Authorities warned that politicians and terrorists are collaborating to sabotage the 2027 elections.

  • Regional Infiltration: Intelligence revealed plans to deploy operatives to the South-West to create widespread chaos, suppress voter turnout, or prevent the elections altogether.

  • Mosque Security Protocols: Religious centers have been instructed to ban vehicles from parking close to congregations during Jumat prayers, prohibit individuals from sleeping inside mosques, monitor suspicious herders and commercial motorcyclists, and deploy night guards at all facilities.

Similarly, the Chairman of Osun CAN, Pastor John Adeleke, confirmed that the service urged churches and school proprietors to heighten their security awareness.
