Pastor Charles Kpandei has assumed the role of senior pastor for the region as of Sunday, June 9, 2024.

A source revealed to Vanguard that although Pastor Iluyomade has resigned, the RCCG governing council has not yet accepted his resignation letter. The source also mentioned that the Apapa Family, an RCCG arm that collaborates with the government and public sector institutions, is advocating for Pastor Iluyomade to establish his own ministry.

“Since he is serving a suspension, the resignation has not been accepted by the governing council. The council will not meet until August when the suspension will lapse. The church has an exit procedure for pastors of his caliber,” the source explained.
