Approaching the vehicle shortly after his arrival at Eagle Square, Abuja, the President momentarily lost his footing as he prepared to step into the vehicle.

However, despite the slip, the President quickly regained his balance and proceeded with the event.

This incident has prompted various reactions from Nigerians.

In defense of the occurrence, Onanuga took to his X platform account, where he asserted that the President’s fall should not overshadow the significance of the Democracy Day celebration.

He argued that such incidents are simply human and could happen to anyone, including political figures.

The presidential aide further cited the example of former American President Barack Obama, who also experienced slips during his tenure despite his relatively young age.

“President Tinubu is not a Superman. He is human like all of us. President Biden has had several slips in the last three years. Even the younger Barack Obama slipped while President. Political leaders are human. Slipping should not detract from the import of Democracy Day celebration,” Onanuga wrote.
