Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi, Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, expressed his heartfelt sympathy and prayed for comfort for the bereaved family. Dr. Aliyu Tanko, delivering a condolence message on behalf of NAHCON, conveyed solidarity and support to the pilgrim’s family and the people of Kebbi State.

In response, Garba Takware, Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, appreciated the Commission’s gesture and offered prayers for the soul of the deceased, as well as for the success of the Hajj operation and the well-being of all pilgrims.

Amidst the solemn atmosphere, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State issued a stern warning to pilgrims, emphasizing the importance of conducting themselves with respect and integrity. He cautioned against engaging in criminal activities such as money laundering during the pilgrimage, stressing severe consequences for offenders.

Furthermore, Governor Sanwo-Olu reminded pilgrims to adhere to regulations prohibiting the transportation of prohibited items, including hard drugs, kolanuts, and bitter kola. He urged them to embody the values of good citizenship and represent Nigeria and Lagos State positively during their spiritual journey.

As Nigerian pilgrims embark on this sacred pilgrimage, the nation mourns the loss of Tawalkatu Busare Alako and stands in solidarity with the bereaved family, while also emphasizing the importance of upholding moral and ethical standards throughout the Hajj journey.
