Charly Boy Criticizes Wike’s Political Choices, Warns Of Future Missteps

Charly Boy asserted that given Wike’s history of acknowledged mistakes, he is likely to repeat the pattern by supporting Bola Tinubu in 2023.

This remark followed Wike’s admission to the people of Rivers State that he had erred in endorsing Governor Siminalayi Fubara and expressed readiness to rectify the error in due course.

In response, Charly Boy took to his X handle to express his sentiments.

He wrote: “I have made several missteps in my political affiliations over the years, from supporting Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as PDP National Chairman in 2016, to endorsing Prince Uche Secondus in 2017, and further backing Tambuwal for the PDP ticket in 2019. My errors continued with support for Senator Iyorchia Ayu as PDP National Chairman in 2021 and, most recently, endorsing Sir Sim Fubara as my successor in 2023. It seems inevitable that soon, he too will falter by supporting Tinubu in 2023.

Following the completion of these security protocols, members of the Oyo State delegation were permitted to enter the facility:

  • The state’s medical team, which included the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, and a former Chief Medical Director of the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Prof. Temitope Alonge, was granted access to evaluate the health of the rescued victims.

  • The broader delegation, led by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, also included the Governor’s Special Adviser on Security Coordination, Maj. Gen. Tokunbo Omoniyi (retd.), and the Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

  • While the medical personnel were admitted earlier, other members of the state’s delegation waited outside until Governor Seyi Makinde arrived and the military security clearance process was finalized.
