Timi Frank Warns Tinubu: Rivers State Crisis Could Destabilize Your AdministrationFormer Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, has issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu, cautioning him about the potential consequences of the ongoing crisis in Rivers State. Frank expressed concerns that if not handled appropriately, the situation could have destabilizing effects on Tinubu’s administration.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Frank emphasized that the call by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, for the impeachment of Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara by defected members of the State House of Assembly could escalate the crisis in the state, ultimately impacting the nation’s revenue fortunes negatively.

In a statement released to Naija News, Frank urged Tinubu to intervene and call Wike to order. He alleged that Wike was orchestrating backdoor maneuvers to install another Ikwere man as governor, which could undermine the interests of the Ijaw people in Rivers State.

Frank highlighted the significance of Fubara’s tenure as the first governor from the Ijaw ethnic extraction since 1999, stressing the importance of allowing him to complete his term peacefully. He reminded Wike that despite his instrumental role in Fubara’s ascent to power, it did not entitle him to control or manipulate Fubara’s administration for his own benefit.

The former APC spokesperson cautioned against any attempt to unlawfully remove Fubara from office, describing it as a move to undermine the democratic process and the constitutional rights of the people of Rivers State. He urged Tinubu to uphold the principles of democracy and ensure that the rule of law prevails in resolving the crisis.

Frank’s warning underscores the gravity of the situation in Rivers State and the potential ramifications it could have on the political landscape of Nigeria. As tensions escalate, it remains crucial for all parties involved to prioritize dialogue and peaceful resolution to prevent further escalation of the crisis.
