Recognizing the imperative to safeguard lives and property, the Assembly has urged for concerted efforts to regulate the sale of combustible substances in residential areas and to ensure strict compliance with safety regulations.
The explosion, a stark reminder of the inherent risks associated with the proliferation of gas shops across the state, has prompted the Assembly to advocate for proactive measures aimed at mitigating such hazards. Presiding over the session, Speaker Mudashiru Obasa underscored the urgency of addressing the issue, emphasizing the paramount importance of prioritizing public safety above all else.
In directing the Ministries of Physical Planning and Urban Development, as well as Special Duties, to intensify their responsibilities in enforcing safety laws, the Assembly has demonstrated its commitment to proactive governance and responsive leadership.
