Gunmen descended upon the Tilengpan community, unleashing terror and claiming the lives of 12 individuals. Additionally, six more innocent lives were brutally taken in four other Bokkos communities, including a university student tragically murdered last night.

The Chairman of Mangu local government area, Monday Kassam, confirmed the harrowing incident, detailing how the gunmen ruthlessly attacked multiple communities. Shockingly, their violence even extended to the off-campus hostel of Plateau State University students, instilling fear and chaos as they fired shots into the air to announce their presence.

In the aftermath of these heinous acts, residents are left grappling with the immense loss and trauma inflicted upon their communities. Despite the presence of security forces, the assailants brazenly continued their onslaught, leaving devastation in their wake. The students, in an attempt to voice their anguish, took to the streets in protest, only to face further violence with one of their own fatally shot.

This reprehensible display of violence underscores the urgent need for swift and decisive action from authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice and restore peace to the affected communities.
