In a piece on X, Yesufu questioned the wisdom of Bobrisky’s guilty plea, drawing attention to the distinction between money spraying and actual currency mutilation.

She highlighted the inconsistency in equating money spraying with mutilation, especially considering the leniency often afforded to politicians who engage in similar acts.

Yesufu disputed the characterization of money spraying as mutilation, advocating for fair and unbiased prosecution rather than selective targeting based on personal values.

She proposed that if Bobrisky had committed other offenses, he should face appropriate charges instead of what she deemed as unjust and disproportionate punishment.

Petroleum Minister Explains Decline In Nigeria’s Oil Production For February, March The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri, has pointed to challenges with the Trans Niger Pipeline and maintenance operations by oil companies as the reasons behind the decline. The Nigerian oil industry witnessed a significant drop in production in February and March 2024, according to recent data from the Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). The latest figures indicate a decrease in oil production to 1.438 million barrels per day in March from 1.539 million barrels per day in February and 1.643 million barrels per day in January. These numbers, which include condensate, fall below the 1.78 million barrels per day projected in the 2024 national budget. In response to these challenges, Lokpobiri’s office released a statement, assuring the public and stakeholders of efforts to address the situation. “The Minister is also pleased to announce that the issues have been adequately addressed, and production is expected to return to its previous levels in the coming days,” said the minister’s media aide, Nnemaka Okafor. The statement also revealed that the Ministry of Petroleum Resources is actively involved in policy development to boost oil output. “Furthermore, the Ministry of Petroleum Resources is actively engaged in policy evolution aimed at maximizing the utilization of all available wells in Nigeria. This strategic approach will enable the country to ramp up production, thereby generating vital revenue to stabilize the nation’s foreign exchange reserves,” Lokpobiri stated.

Nigerian music executive Don Jazzy has sparked reactions online after sharing a lighthearted explanation about why many modern marriages seem to break down faster than those of previous generations.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a video that quickly went viral on social media, the Mavin Records boss used wedding cakes as a humorous analogy to compare past and present relationships.

He noted that in earlier times, couples often used fruit cakes made with alcohol for weddings. According to him, such cakes were durable and could last for long periods—sometimes up to a year—allowing couples to preserve and even share portions during their first wedding anniversary.

He jokingly suggested that this long-lasting nature of traditional cakes symbolically reflected the stability of marriages in the past.

Don Jazzy contrasted this with today’s trend, where many couples opt for butter or ice-cream cakes that require careful storage and spoil more easily.

He humorously implied that the shorter lifespan of these modern cakes mirrors the perceived fragility of some contemporary marriages.

He also pointed out that many modern wedding cakes are often heavily decorated with non-edible materials, with only a small portion actually meant for consumption.

In a recent episode of the Who’s In The House podcast, Don Jazzy explained that one of his main concerns is the reluctance of younger artists to actively promote their music on social media.

According to him, this often leads to disagreements within the label, as he encourages them to consistently showcase their projects online to boost visibility and engagement.

Don Jazzy noted that the issue is not limited to his signed artists alone, adding that even family members involved in entertainment face similar conversations with him.

He expressed confusion over what he described as a growing belief among Gen Z creatives that frequent self-promotion is unnecessary, stressing that consistent online visibility is important in today’s music industry.

He specifically mentioned Ayra Starr, saying she sometimes attributes her reluctance to post promotional content to feelings of imposter syndrome, which he believes affects how often she shares her work online.
