Northern Groups Criticize NEF For Disparaging Tinubu’s Presidency....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Coalition of Concerned Northern Groups (CCNG) has raised objections to the recent statement by the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) expressing regret over its support for President Bola Tinubu. CCNG deemed NEF’s stance as unjustly portraying Tinubu’s leadership.

Muhammad Ibrahim, the president of CCNG, voiced their concerns, stating, “It baffles us that the NEF was silent when former President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime killed hundreds of innocent men, women, and children…Yet the NEF never rose against that.”

CCNG criticized NEF’s failure to acknowledge President Tinubu’s efforts towards national development, contrasting it with the challenges faced during the Buhari administration. Ibrahim emphasized the need to give Tinubu’s administration the benefit of the doubt, considering the short time it has been in office.

Moreover, CCNG refuted NEF’s claim of mobilizing northern support for Tinubu during the elections, asserting that NEF lacks such influence over northern voters. They urged NEF to reconsider its position, highlighting Tinubu’s commitment to national progress.

In conclusion, CCNG expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and called for NEF to reassess its stance for the greater good of the north and its people.
