Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has expressed his heartfelt concern over the burial arrangements of late Nollywood makeup artist, Abigael Frederick. Abigael Frederick tragically lost her life in a boat accident, alongside Nollywood actor Junior Pope and others, in Anambra state. While her body was recovered and laid to rest, concerns arose regarding the circumstances of her burial.
Film director and actor, Moses Eskor, shed light on the financial challenges faced by Abigael’s family in fulfilling traditional rites for her burial. Despite efforts to raise funds, it was deemed insufficient to cover the necessary expenses.
Governor Eno, through his chief press secretary, Ekerete Udoh, extended his condolences to Abigael’s family and expressed his desire for her remains to be brought back to Akwa Ibom State. He emphasized the importance of a proper and respectful burial for Abigael, recognizing her as a talented individual who had found her passion in makeup artistry.
Highlighting Abigael’s contribution to the arts and her promising future, Governor Eno underscored the need for her final resting place to reflect the dignity and honor she deserves. He assured the family that the government stands ready to support them during this difficult time.
As the community mourns the loss of Abigael Frederick, Governor Umo Eno’s call for the repatriation of her remains echoes the sentiment of providing a fitting farewell to a beloved member of the Nollywood community.

reports that the bout took place at Chaos in the Ring 4 inside Balmoral Hall at the Federal Palace Hotel, where Carter Efe also secured a ₦50 million cash prize following his victory.
The fight ended in his favour by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring it 27–30.
Speaking after the match, Carter Efe said he felt like a global boxing star and described the fight as surprisingly easy. He claimed he dominated from the opening round and said Portable struggled significantly after absorbing early blows.
According to him, Portable began to lose energy by the second round and appeared unstable, while the final round saw him unable to maintain momentum.
“I am feeling like an international world star. My new name is Carter Mayweather. The fight was so easy. First round, I already damaged his face. Second round, he was shaking. Third round, he fainted,” he said.
Meanwhile, Portable has expressed dissatisfaction over the outcome of the match, alleging unfair treatment after his defeat to Carter Efe.
reports that the singer made the claim during a live Instagram session on Saturday morning, insisting that the fight was not properly judged.
He accused Carter Efe of lacking professionalism and also alleged that the organisers failed to properly count his punches during the contest.
