Sir Alex Ferguson was taken to hospital on May 3 after feeling unwell at Old Trafford shortly before Manchester United’s Premier League match against Liverpool.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The 84-year-old had arrived at the stadium ahead of the high-profile fixture but required medical attention less than an hour before kick-off. Medical staff initially attended to him in the Stretford End tunnel before he was later moved into an ambulance for further assessment.

Reports suggest the hospital visit was precautionary, with sources expressing confidence that he is expected to recover at home. One source said Ferguson was “okay” and seen sitting up inside the ambulance. The club declined to comment, according to The Sun.

Ferguson remains a regular presence at Old Trafford, often watching matches from the directors’ box. After retiring in 2013, he served as a club ambassador for 12 years and remains the most successful manager in Manchester United’s history.

The recent scare is not believed to be linked to the brain haemorrhage he suffered in 2018, which required emergency surgery after doctors initially gave him a low chance of survival.

He later reflected on the experience in the documentary Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In, where he described the severity of the incident and his survival as fortunate.
