Police Arrest Suspected Ritualists With Gallon Of Human Blood In Zaria

ASP Mansur Hussaini, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, confirmed the arrest on Sunday, stating that it followed a tip-off received by the service formation. According to Hussaini, the suspects were spotted at the cemetery, prompting the intervention of the Saye Lowcost Division.
The arrested individuals include Samson Ezekiel (32), Samuel Francis (27), Usman Nura (34), Gabriel Sheba (23), Haruna Sa’id (37), Bala Lukman (27), and Jabir Rilwan (37). During a search of their vehicle, a Lexus sedan, various incriminating items were discovered, including two locally made pistols, a Beretta pistol, jacket knives, calabashes, and the jerry can filled with human blood.
The suspects confessed to obtaining the human blood by slaughtering an elderly man and disposing of his body near the Jaji military cantonment in the neighbouring Igabi Local Government Area. They admitted to dismembering the man’s vital body parts, which were subsequently taken away by another gang from Kaduna.
In addition to the initial seven suspects, two more individuals, Austin Ifinju and Aliyu Ali Yahaya, were apprehended by locals at ABU Congo Conference Hotels along the old Jos road. Investigations into the matter are currently ongoing, as confirmed by ASP Mansur Hussaini.
The arrest of these suspected ritualists underscores the diligent efforts of law enforcement agencies in combating criminal activities and ensuring the safety and security of citizens in Kaduna State.
