Bobrisky: Philip Shaibu At Crossroads As Obaseki Triggers Exit Welcome – Brotherhood or Sisterhood?....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a recent development in Edo State, the gubernatorial battlefield took an unexpected turn when the INEC revealed its list of candidates for the various political parties, and lo and behold, Philip Shaibu was noticeably missing from all platforms. Disappointing, to say the least. But that’s not the end of the story; the panel tasked with investigating his impeachment has completed its work, leaving Shaibu to face the consequences…CONTINUE READING.

In local parlance, it’s safe to say Philip Shaibu finds himself in a ROUNDABUBU situation – a classic case of “Na where you dey look na you wan cut? Goat Eye activated.” Now, let me take a moment to elaborate on the concept of Goat Eye Activation, for the benefit of those who haven’t yet had the pleasure of hearing my elucidation.

A few years back, an uncle of mine decided to celebrate Christmas in grand style by purchasing a big, juicy goat for the occasion. On the fateful day of festivities, he enlisted the help of his nephew to hold the goat down while he prepared to perform the sacrificial act of slaughtering it. Here’s where the plot thickens – our dear uncle happened to have a eye condition we affectionately referred to as “HALF PAST 4” (strabismus), and the mischievous nephew was unaware of this.

As the boy wrestled with the goat, using his legs and hands to secure its limbs, he glanced up at his uncle who was poised with a machete, ready to perform the slaughter. In a moment of confusion, the boy blurted out, “UNCLE NA WHERE YOU DEY LOOK NA YOU WAN CUT?”(HALF PAST 4 eyes).

The uncle affirmed, but due to his eye condition, the boy mistakenly believed he was aiming at his own neck instead of that of the goat. Perplexed, the boy asked again, “UNCLE NA WHERE YOU DEY LOOK NA YOU WAN CUT?” Once more, the uncle confirmed, raising the machete even higher. Needless to say, chaos ensued – the boy bolted, the goat made a daring escape, and Christmas dinner was canceled, much to everyone’s chagrin.

Now, why do I regale you with this anecdote? Well, it perfectly encapsulates the predicament Philip Shaibu finds himself in, courtesy of his boss Godwin Obaseki’s impeachment agenda. The ensuing hullabaloo has cast a shadow over the impending gubernatorial election, with Obaseki seemingly intent on ousting his disloyal deputy – the very same deputy who once stood shoulder-to-shoulder with him in the battle against Adams Oshiomhole, a common benefactor to both.

If not navigated with finesse, this goat(governorship election) may just slip through the cracks, jeopardizing the ruling party’s chances in the upcoming election. Meanwhile, Philip Shaibu finds himself at a crossroads, rejected by both Oshiomhole and Obaseki. So, the burning question remains: in the event of impeachment, which hood will Shaibu retreat to? Will he, like the controversial figure Bobrisky currently languishing in EFCC detention, find himself confined to the confines of a male or female cell?

Brotherhood or sisterhood – it appears Philip Shaibu has bitten off more than he can chew.

Ambassadorial Nomination Under Fire: Frank Tie Tie Exposes ‘Mistake’ Regarding Ex-FUOYE VC Fasina!.

Published

on

Human rights lawyer Frank Tietie has criticized the nomination and subsequent confirmation of Professor Abayomi Fasina, the former Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, as a non-career ambassador designate.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

  • Prior to his confirmation, a coalition of civil society organizations protested at the National Assembly on July 7, 2026, opposing Fasina’s nomination due to pending court cases involving allegations of sexual harassment, human rights violations, and victimization.

  • Despite these protests, the Nigerian Senate officially confirmed Fasina’s appointment as a non-career ambassador on Thursday.

Frank Tietie’s Position

  • During an interview on ARISE Television, Tietie argued that nominating an individual with such “baggage” was a mistake, emphasizing that ambassadors represent Nigeria in the same capacity as the President.

  • Tietie stated that the government should have sent the “right signals” by avoiding such controversial appointments, especially given the current state of governance.

  • He argued that even in the absence of a final court judgment, the allegations themselves have “tainted” Fasina’s reputation, and the Senate should have delayed the confirmation until the legal matters were resolved.

  • Tietie also suggested that the National Assembly’s decision overlooks significant social changes regarding how such allegations are now viewed by society.
