This admonition follows reports of certain party members self-proclaiming as “the aborigines of APC,” a trend deemed unnecessary and potentially detrimental to the party’s unity.

In a statement relayed by its publicity secretary, Alex Kalejaye, the APC state chapter underscored its core principles of affording equal opportunities to all members, irrespective of their tenure or any other factor.

The party reaffirmed its stance against any conduct that undermines the sense of inclusivity and parity among its members, emphasizing its commitment to fostering an environment of fairness.

“We stand firm in our belief that the chapter belongs to all, and we will continue to advocate for equal opportunities for every member. New entrants need not harbor any apprehensions in this regard,” assured Adetimehin via the statement.

As the primary election approaches, the party also cautioned aspirants against the influence of zealous supporters who might sow seeds of discord for personal motives, stressing that such actions could disrupt the prevailing unity within the state chapter.

Adetimehin urged all political stakeholders, including gubernatorial aspirants, to uphold decorum and refrain from fomenting unwarranted tension in the political landscape.

Highlighting Ondo State’s reputation for orderly conduct and a commendable political history, he emphasized the imperative of upholding these standards during the forthcoming contests.

“We are duty-bound to demonstrate our exceptional ability to engage in any competition without acrimony,” he asserted.
