In a remarkable display of unity, leaders of Ebonyi State, including Governor Francis Nwifuru and former political rivals such as former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, former governors Sam Egwu, David Umahi, and Martin Elechi, came together to celebrate the 83rd birthday of former governor Elechi in Abakaliki.
The celebration, organized by the Ebonyi State Government, took place at the Christian Ecumenical Centre and attracted prominent personalities from far and wide.
Anyim, who chaired the event, lauded Elechi as a resilient and uncompromising founding father of the state, emphasizing his role in the state’s unity and development.
