Chairman of the council, Sanusi Abdul Giza, reaffirmed this commitment during an emergency meeting attended by key stakeholders, including security officials, traditional leaders, and representatives of various ethnic groups from Kadarko Chiefdom. The meeting, held at the palace of Osokadarko, underscored the gravity of the situation and the need for decisive action.

Giza condemned the heinous attacks on innocent farmers and emphasized the council’s determination to apprehend the culprits and ensure they face the full weight of the law. He stressed that such acts of violence would not be tolerated under his administration, and every effort would be made to restore peace and security to the area.

Expressing solidarity with the affected families, Giza urged residents to refrain from resorting to vigilante justice and instead trust in the government’s ability to address the issue effectively. He emphasized the importance of unity among all ethnic groups within the locality to combat mischief and maintain harmony.

Supporting this stance, senior government officials, including the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Universal Basic Education and Political Matters, Comrade James Ali Manza, and Ibrahim Bido, reiterated the state government’s commitment to upholding law and order. They assured residents that justice would be served, and measures would be implemented to prevent further unrest.

In his contribution, the paramount ruler of Kadarko, Mallam Usman Kakunu Dodo, dismissed allegations of land grabbing by certain ethnic groups, labeling them as baseless mischief. He clarified that the disputed land, which had long been neglected and become a haven for criminals, was rightfully allocated to farmers from various backgrounds through legitimate processes.

As the community braces for legal action against the perpetrators, the collective resolve to pursue justice serves as a beacon of hope for residents and underscores the imperative of collaborative efforts to combat crime and promote peace and stability in the region.
