  1. Rich in Essential Nutrients: Guava seeds are packed with essential nutrients, including vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, fiber, and antioxidants. These nutrients play crucial roles in supporting immune function, promoting digestion, and combating oxidative stress.
  2. Gut Health: The fiber content in guava seeds supports digestive health by promoting regular bowel movements, preventing constipation, and supporting the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. Additionally, the seeds’ mucilage content helps soothe inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract, offering relief from digestive discomfort.
  3. Blood Sugar Regulation: Research suggests that guava seeds may have hypoglycemic properties, helping regulate blood sugar levels. For individuals managing diabetes or aiming to maintain stable blood glucose levels, incorporating guava seeds into their diet could offer valuable support.

Additionally, the antioxidants present in guava seeds help combat inflammation and oxidative damage, reducing the risk of heart disease.
  5. Skin and Hair Benefits: The vitamin C and antioxidant content in guava seeds contribute to healthy skin by promoting collagen production, combating free radical damage, and supporting skin elasticity. Furthermore, the seeds’ anti-inflammatory properties may help alleviate skin conditions like acne and eczema. When applied topically or consumed regularly, guava seeds can also contribute to lustrous hair and scalp health.

Incorporating guava seeds into your diet is simple and versatile. You can consume them raw, blend them into smoothies, sprinkle them over yogurt or salads, or incorporate them into baked goods for added nutritional value.

However, it’s essential to source high-quality guava seeds from organic sources to ensure maximum potency and purity. Additionally, if you have any underlying health conditions or concerns, consult with a healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes or incorporating new supplements.

To bolster internal accountability, the commission has rebranded its Department of Internal Affairs to the Department of Ethics and Integrity and implemented a strict gift policy. This framework mandates that personnel declare gifts exceeding set thresholds—including presents from international relatives—to ensure staff can transparently account for their income and lifestyles.

In addition to internal reforms, Olukoyede highlighted substantial financial recoveries driven by the agency’s enforcement activities. Between October 1, 2023, and June 30, 2026, the EFCC amassed total recoveries of ₦1.23 trillion, $684.48 million, £373,905.78, and €9.34 million. Direct recoveries for the Federal Government accounted for ₦397.26 billion (33 per cent), while the remaining ₦836.34 billion (67 per cent) was recovered indirectly for MDAs, state revenue arms, companies, and individuals. Specifically, tax recoveries reached ₦288.1 billion—divided into ₦173.2 billion for federal taxes and ₦114.9 billion for state internal revenue services—alongside ₦257.2 billion secured for various ministries, departments, and agencies.
