The actress revealed that she underwent a medical procedure that prevented her from having more children.
Bello made the disclosure while speaking about motherhood on her YouTube platform, Shaffy Bello TV.
During the conversation, she explained that about 26 years ago she chose to tie her fallopian tubes because she did not want to have many children.
According to her, the decision was made even though her former husband had hoped they would expand their family.
She said he appealed to her to have another child, but she had already resolved to limit the number of children she would give birth to.
Bello further explained that the procedure was done through her navel, where doctors tied her fallopian tubes to prevent her from conceiving again.
She noted that the process was straightforward and permanently stopped the release of eggs required for pregnancy.
The actress added that she had always been clear about the size of family she wanted and never felt pressured to have many children.
She said, “My ex-husband had to beg for me to have another one. I didn’t want a lot of children. I wanted to stop. So they went through my navel, went in there, did what they needed to do, and they tied it up. That was it. They closed my eggs. I’ve always said to myself that after tying my tubes, if I get pregnant, I will feel like Mary, it’s a holy child.”

The mother of one said the decision is intentional and reflects how she manages her online presence.
Kiekie made the clarification during an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, on his show while responding to questions about her private life and marriage.
She noted that she is not trying to conceal her husband from the public but simply prefers not to feature him on her Instagram page.
According to her, the page is primarily used for her professional activities, including comedy skits, brand promotions and other work-related content.
Kiekie added that since her husband is not involved in her online business, she prefers to keep that aspect of her life away from the platform.
“I’m not hiding my husband; I just don’t feel the need to put him on Instagram. My Instagram is my business page and my husband is not part of my business,” she said.
Kiekie tied the knot with her husband, Shonaola Ilori, in February 2020.
The couple later welcomed their first child, a daughter, in November 2022.
Known for her energetic comedy skits, fashion content and acting roles, Kiekie has grown into one of Nigeria’s most popular online entertainers.

In a previous interview, she dismissed rumors of a feud with Genevieve, explaining that they were never in conflict. She likened the speculation to rumors often spread about Nigerian singers, saying fans tend to pit celebrities against each other.
“Na them start the quarrel before we know say we dey quarrel. So, we have to catch up with the quarrel. There was no quarrel. People don’t need to be best friends, but we talked. Like behind film, we dey talk normally,” she said.
Omotola’s comments clarify that the supposed tension between her and Genevieve is purely fan-driven and that their bond remains strong.
