SP Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, announced this development in a statement released on Monday, detailing the operation’s success.

According to the statement, the raid, carried out at 06:00 AM, prompted the bandits to flee their hideouts to avoid arrest upon sighting the police operatives.

The operation was launched based on credible intelligence indicating that associates of Nasiru Mohammed, alias Danger, were planning a kidnapping spree in Zuba and its environs in retaliation for the arrest of their comrades.

Nasiru Mohammed, known as Danger, had been previously apprehended and paraded by the police on March 11, 2024, for his involvement in numerous kidnapping incidents within the FCT.

During the raid, the police recovered various items from the abandoned camp, including firearms and cattle, suspected to be part of the gang’s plunder from their criminal activities.

In response to this successful operation, CP Benneth C. Igweh, the Commissioner of Police for the FCT, has intensified crime prevention patrols across the region to deter further kidnapping attempts.

CP Igweh reiterated his unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents within the FCT and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police through their emergency contact.”
