Upon his arrival, Egbetokun was warmly welcomed by the Governor of the State, Uba Sani, alongside other high-ranking government officials at the Government House in Kaduna. Expressing his condolences, the Police boss commiserated with the Governor and the people of Kaduna State over the tragic incident.
The abduction occurred when armed bandits raided the LEA Primary School in Kuriga shortly after the assembly gathering. The abducted pupils and staff members were forcefully taken from the premises.
Meanwhile, the perpetrators of another kidnapping in the Gonin Gora region of Kaduna State have made exorbitant ransom demands. They are demanding a staggering N40 trillion, 11 Hilux vans, and 150 motorcycles for the release of the 16 individuals they are holding captive. Community leader John Yusuf expressed dismay at the outrageous demands, emphasizing the impossibility of meeting such exorbitant requirements.
As Kaduna grapples with these distressing developments, the arrival of the Inspector General of Police underscores the urgency and seriousness with which the government is addressing the escalating security challenges in the region.
