Anambra Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has been caught on video threatening to dismiss Paschal Aniegbuna, the transition committee chairman for Ogbaru Local Government Area, over the failure to construct a pedestrian walkway……CONTINUE READING
In a viral video, Soludo is seen admonishing the local council boss for allowing the construction of a fence on space designated as a walkway along the Ododoukwu road in Okpoko, Ogbaru council.
During a road inspection, Soludo expressed frustration with Aniegbuna and demanded to know who authorized the building whose fence covered the designated walkway.
The governor instructed the LGA boss to demolish the building and warned of dismissal if he failed to do so.
Soludo ordered the removal of all shanties and shops along the road to facilitate the construction of the pedestrian walkway.
He remarked, “Which building is being constructed here? You must bulldoze it. If I return and find any of this nonsense, I will publicly dismiss you. You are incompetent.
“They initiated it, and you watched it without taking action. Where is the walkway? Show me the walkway. Look at the building encroaching on the road.
“Find the person who approved this, and I will dismiss that person.”
