Reports indicate that Governor Ododo’s decision has resulted in local government staff receiving only 80 percent of their rightful earnings, prompting widespread condemnation.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Okai urged Governor Ododo to address the allegation transparently and take immediate corrective measures to rectify the situation. He emphasized that the welfare of all citizens, regardless of ethnicity, should be the paramount concern of any responsible administration.
“We must demand transparency from our government and refuse to tolerate any form of corruption,” Okai asserted. “It is our collective responsibility to speak out against injustice and ensure that those in power are held accountable for their actions.”
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, Okai emphasized that the issue transcends tribal affiliations and underscores the importance of accountability and transparency in governance.
“The implications of such actions are dire,” Okai stated. “Deducting a portion of workers’ salaries without valid justification not only undermines their livelihoods but also violates their rights as employees. It is a betrayal of the trust placed in the government to fairly and equitably manage public resources.”
As calls for accountability and justice intensify, Governor Ododo’s administration faces mounting pressure to address the concerns raised by Okai and other stakeholders, ensuring fair treatment and respect for the rights of local government staff in Kogi state.

EXPLOSIVE ACCUSATION: ‘We Have Never Seen Anything Like This!’ ADC Exposes The Terrifying Reality Of Peter Mbah’s Govt!.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Enugu State has strongly criticized Governor Peter Mbah, accusing his administration of placing an excessive financial burden on the local population. In an official statement signed by Paul Anigbogu for the ADC Media Team to mark the launch of their 2027 governorship and House of Assembly election campaigns, the party claimed that Mbah has introduced a ruthless and inhumane tax framework that is completely unprecedented in the 35-year history of the state.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Furthermore, the opposition party lambasted the administration for executing sweeping demolitions in Enugu and Nsukka under the banner of urban renewal, which they argue has devastated local livelihoods. Pointing to specific incidents like the demolition of the Old Park in Enugu and the Ogige Market in Nsukka, the ADC noted that hundreds of traders were displaced, while levies such as property taxes, business premises charges, and utility rates saw steep hikes. The party asserted that instead of fostering wealth creation, Mbah’s policies have generated widespread hardship, compounding the financial struggles citizens have faced since the removal of the fuel subsidy in May 2023, prompting the declaration that they have never witnessed a government quite like his.
Addressing other aspects of the administration, the ADC questioned the rationale behind Governor Mbah’s recent unveiling of a book showcasing his projects and milestones, arguing that genuine, impactful developments would speak for themselves without requiring state resources to be spent on self-promotion. The party also renewed criticism over unfulfilled electoral commitments, calling out the governor for failing to deliver on his 2023 campaign pledge to restore reliable public water supply across Enugu within his first 180 days in office.

STATEMENT OF POWER: Manchester United, Bayern, And Como Unleash Total Destruction In Champions League Thrashings!
Manchester United made a triumphant return to Europe’s elite competition after a three-season absence, kicking off their Champions League campaign with a dominant 4-0 victory against Azerbaijani champions Sabah at Old Trafford. Matheus Cunha broke the deadlock in the 27th minute by converting Patrick Dorgu’s cross, followed shortly by a second goal from Bruno Fernandes following a build-up with Youri Tielemans. Benjamin Sesko added a third by rounding goalkeeper Stas Pokatilov for his first start of the season, and Lisandro Martinez sealed the 4-0 scoreline in the second half after pouncing on a mistake by Pokatilov. The win served as a morale boost following a slow Premier League start where United managed four points from three matches, prompting manager Michael Carrick to rest key players like Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, and Marcus Rashford ahead of the upcoming Manchester derby against Manchester City. Meanwhile, visitors Sabah—who reached the tournament proper after four qualifying rounds—found themselves overwhelmed once United raised the tempo, a challenge coach Valdas Dambrauskas had anticipated given their leap straight to the Champions League without prior Europa League or Conference League experience.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In other Thursday fixtures, Bayern Munich secured a resounding 5-0 home win over Bodø/Glimt, featuring goals from returning starter Jamal Musiala, Harry Kane, Alphonso Davies, and a brace from Michael Olise, which preserved their flawless streak of 24 consecutive opening match wins in the competition since 2002. Elsewhere, Como cruised to a 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig, Lens edged past Slavia Prague 3-2, while Fenerbahçe and Roma, as well as PSV and Shakhtar Donetsk, both ended their matches in 1-1 draws.

THE ULTIMATE CLEANSING: Gbadamosi Tells Lagosians 2027 Is The Ultimate Chance To Stop Living In A Smelling, Stinking State!
Babatunde Gbadamosi, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Deputy Governorship candidate for Lagos State in the 2027 elections, has stated that the upcoming electoral cycle presents a critical window for Lagosians to liberate themselves from what he termed as modern-day slavery. Speaking during an interview with Vanguard Politics Hub, Gbadamosi emphasized that the 2027 elections give the populace a powerful opportunity to exercise their democratic franchise at the ballot box, positioning the ADC as a credible and viable alternative to the status quo. He asserted that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has fundamentally failed the citizenry, leaving residents with the urgent responsibility to rescue themselves from a state he graphically described as “smelling and stinking”.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Addressing the unpredictability of political contests, Gbadamosi noted that electoral outcomes are never guaranteed and rest entirely in the hands of the voters. Drawing a parallel to the political choices made in Osun State, where the electorate opted for freedom and chose not to return to past hardships, he stressed that a similar path lies ahead for Lagosians. Despite decades of governance under the APC banner, he pointed out that residents continue to grapple with persistent infrastructural and systemic failures, including acute water shortages, chronic waste management crises, and overall systemic decay. These worsening conditions, he argued, can only be transformed through intentional voting behavior in 2027.
Elaborating further on the daily realities faced by the state’s population, Gbadamosi challenged the 25 million residents of Lagos to decide whether they are willing to put a permanent end to eras marked by dry water taps and pervasive refuse. He strongly criticized superficial political leadership that prioritizes elaborate public appearances and empty rhetoric over tangible problem-solving, dismissing politicians who parade themselves in traditional attire while offering nothing but excuses for the state’s enduring challenges. Ultimately, Gbadamosi maintained that the power to change the trajectory of Lagos rests squarely with the citizens, who must choose between breaking free from systemic neglect or continuing to tolerate a substandard environment.
