Nigeria Correctional Service Disputes Alleged Deaths Of Eight Inmates....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) in Niger State has vehemently denied reports suggesting that eight inmates in its facilities died due to malnourishment or starvation………CONTINUE READING

In a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, CSC Rabiu Mohammed Shuaibu, the correctional centre refuted the claim, asserting that underfeeding was not the cause of death for any inmate in any of its correctional facilities.

Shuaibu dismissed media reports alleging the deaths of eight inmates as entirely false, baseless, and aimed at instilling fear in the public.

He clarified that despite the prevailing economic challenges and the increase in food prices, the feeding standards for prisoners have remained intact at correctional facilities under its jurisdiction.

“The command wishes to unequivocally state that there were no recorded deaths in any of its facilities as a result of underfeeding. The writer, for reasons best known to them, failed to verify their claims before disseminating the story to the public, leading to unwarranted panic in society,” Shuaibu stated.

Furthermore, the Nigeria Correctional Service expressed gratitude to the federal and state governments, as well as other stakeholders, for their unwavering commitment to enhancing the welfare of inmates, acknowledging the efforts made in this regard.

Political Fury: APC Chieftain Basiru Drops Bombshell, Blasts Peter Obi And Kwankwaso For Suffering From “Partial Amnesia”!

National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ajibola Basiru, has strongly dismissed claims by Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, that President Bola Tinubu faces defeat, labeling their projections as cheap talk and wishful thinking. While Obi warned at a Port Harcourt town hall that voters will fiercely protect their ballots, and Kwankwaso pointed to former President Goodluck Jonathan’s 2015 defeat to argue that a ruling party controlling over 30 states can still lose, Basiru countered that both opposition figures are poor students of history suffering from partial amnesia.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Highlighting precedent, the APC chieftain reminded them that a sitting president like Muhammadu Buhari successfully won re-election alongside numerous party victories. Furthermore, Basiru dismissed their electoral viability by pointing out that their party lacks governorship candidates in at least 12 states and sufficient National Assembly representation, emphasizing that presidential victories require structured groundwork rather than empty rhetoric or wishful thinking as the ruling party remains confident in Tinubu’s re-election.

Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has issued a formal apology to Nigeria’s security forces for controversially labelling military, police, customs, and immigration personnel as “unknown gunmen.”....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a video released on Friday, Otse explained that he reconsidered his remarks following the recent Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) 66th Annual General Conference, realizing his generalization was unfair to the countless personnel who risk their lives daily to combat insecurity. He clarified that his original critique was intended to target specific “bad eggs” involved in corruption, sabotage, and criminal activities, rather than the entire security apparatus.

The activist expressed deep regret for the discouragement his comments might have caused frontline troops, particularly soldiers fighting insurgents in difficult terrain. He extended a specific apology to the Chief of Defence Staff, requesting it be passed down to the troops on the ground and the families of fallen heroes, acknowledging their immense sacrifices for the nation.

While withdrawing the broad generalization, VeryDarkMan maintained his stance that corruption and misconduct exist within the security establishment across various ranks. He cited specific allegations of police officers colluding with kidnappers at checkpoints, but emphasized that the majority of personnel are dedicated patriots doing good work. He concluded by reaffirming support for the nation’s heroes and apologizing for his failure to communicate his intended message effectively.

2027 Explosion: Tinubu Will Eat Obi Like Biscuits, Kenneth Okonkwo Drops Bombshell!.

Published

on

Kenneth Okonkwo, spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign, has asserted that opposition parties must forge a united front if they intend to defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. Speaking in an interview with Ibeju Upgrade Media, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain warned that ongoing divisions within the opposition will hand President Tinubu a distinct advantage.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Okonkwo specifically questioned whether Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), could secure a victory against Tinubu running solo without a broader coalition. Emphasizing that opposition forces stand a fighting chance only under a unified platform, he remarked that going against Tinubu alone would leave Obi easily outmatched.

He further noted structural hurdles for Obi, questioning regional support in places like Kano—citing past voting patterns from 2023 and asserting that Rabiu Kwankwaso holds little leverage or electoral footing left in the state. Okonkwo stressed that unseating a ruling party requires a fierce, collective strategy, famously reminding critics that political power must be fiercely contested and grabbed rather than taken lightly.
