Reports from LIB revealed that the proprietor of the restaurant, popularly identified as Hadiza Nakowa Dutse, was killed at her residence opposite Awajil Filling Station in Dutse, while her 11-year-old daughter was discovered unconscious inside a locked storeroom.

The victim was last seen on February 12, 2024, arousing suspicion among her neighbors when all attempts to contact her via phone proved unsuccessful.

Upon receiving the report, detectives from the Dutse Police Division sprang into action and proceeded to her residence on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

Upon arrival, they found the house locked, but forcibly entered, discovering the victim’s lifeless body in the sitting room, lying in a pool of blood.

Visible cuts were observed on her head and neck, and the body had begun to decompose.

Her daughter, Christiana Michael, was found locked in a storeroom with head injuries but alive.

Both victims were swiftly transported to Rasheed Shekoni Teaching Hospital.

The mother was pronounced dead by a medical professional, and her body was taken to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) for further examination.

The CP, after visiting Dutse General Hospital to monitor the condition of the injured daughter, instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Dutse, to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident to uncover the motive behind her murder and apprehend the perpetrators who fled the scene.
