Real Madrid’s team bus encountered an accident on Monday, just before their Champions League match against RB Leipzig….READ ALSO
Los Blancos are scheduled to face the Bundesliga team at the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday night. However, due to an airport strike, the team’s flight was redirected to Erfurt instead of Leipzig.
Subsequently, the team embarked on a 100-mile journey to Leipzig. However, according to German newspaper BILD, the bus collided with a white Toyota while attempting to change lanes.
Reports indicate that the Toyota suffered damage exceeding £2,000, mainly due to a cracked outside mirror.
Fortunately, despite the presence of Real Madrid’s star-studded team, no injuries were reported. The bus sustained only minor scratches on the driver’s side.
The team’s bus eventually arrived at Leipzig’s downtown Steigenberger team hotel around 3 p.m. German time.
However, Jude Bellingham, the club’s promising young talent, did not disembark from the bus and was subsequently excluded from the match squad.
This decision comes in the wake of Bellingham’s ankle injury sustained during Girona’s 4-0 defeat, where he scored two goals.
Despite doubts surrounding Bellingham’s availability, Leipzig manager Marco Rose, who previously coached him at Dortmund, remains skeptical and believes the player might still participate in the Champions League clash.
“I don’t think he’ll be out until we don’t see him in the stadium tomorrow. I know Jude, he will do everything to play the Champions League game. He might consult other doctors today to ensure he’s fit. I’ve heard a lot, but we’ll wait and see if he’s here or not,” remarked Rose during the pre-match press conference.
