The PPRO confirmed that protesters blocked the roadway, causing a complete standstill in vehicular traffic. This obstruction resulted in significant congestion and growing frustration among motorists and cyclists, leading to confrontations and a breakdown of public order.

Faced with this escalating security threat, police intervened to restore normalcy. DSP Hassan stated that “minimal and proportionate force, including tear gas,” was employed to disperse the crowd and prevent further chaos.
