When grilled on his crushing defeat—including scoring just a single vote in his own ward—Osifo brushed off the embarrassment, stating “for every action, there are reasons.” Defending his loyalty to the party high command despite pointing out heavy background “intrigues” during the voting process, he concluded that the supreme voice of the party has spoken and declared that there are absolutely no losers within the APC family.

  • Tinubu’s 2027 Ticket Locked: The interview comes directly after President Tinubu accepted his official nomination following a massive landslide victory at the APC primary.

  • Ward Embarrassment Dismissed: Asked why he pulled only one single vote in his own ward, Osifo refused to admit his people rejected him, cryptically saying every action has its reasons.

  • The Backroom Secrets: The former aspirant dropped a hint about the high-stakes primary process, admitting there were “a lot of intrigues” playing out behind the scenes.

Deepening the Process or Chasing Clout? Stanley Osifo Breaks Down His Symbolic Primary Battle Against Tinubu

In the wake of an expected landslide victory that solidifies President Bola Tinubu’s position as the APC’s official 2027 standard-bearer, underdog aspirant Stanley Osifo has defended his decision to mount a primary challenge against the presidency. Appearing on Arise Television, Osifo framed his seemingly impossible campaign as a necessary exercise in strengthening the party’s internal democratic culture, rather than a mere vanity project to secure a lifetime title.

The interview highlighted the immense structural barriers facing independent-minded challengers within Nigeria’s ruling party. Even when pressed on his highly publicized failure to secure support within his immediate ward, Osifo pivoted back to the doctrine of party supremacy and institutional loyalty. While acknowledging that the primary road was paved with significant political intrigues, his diplomatic stance indicates that his camp is choosing to consolidate its position within the APC apparatus rather than spark a wider internal rebellion.

The intersection of Nigeria’s real-world security anxieties and the desperate hunt for social media clout took a dark turn in Ogun State, leading to the arrest of Qowiy Oloyede. Handed over to authorities by a concerned resident, Oloyede stands accused of distributing a highly malicious TikTok video that falsely announced a bandit invasion in the Atan Ota axis.

According to counterinsurgency reports, the suspect’s defense highlights a troubling trend in digital media production: an absolute disregard for public safety in exchange for algorithmic visibility. Under interrogation, the suspect detailed how he staged the clip using a local livestock herder and relied on an apprentice to draft the inflammatory caption due to his own illiteracy. As the Ogun Police Command prepares to process the case through the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCIID) in Abeokuta, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need for stricter digital accountability in an era where fake news can instantly destabilize regional peace.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has issued a powerful final charge to its presidential heavyweights, delegates, and supporters, demanding absolute discipline and peaceful conduct as voting kicks off today, Monday.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a high-stakes statement released Sunday in Abuja by National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi, the party declared the primary a defining moment for Nigeria’s political future. Bragging that the ADC stands as the nation’s only true democratic party due to its choice of open, direct primaries, Abdullahi warned that the behavior of the contenders would show Nigerians what kind of leadership they represent. Insisting that the broader mission of defeating the ruling party in 2027 must override personal ambitions, the leadership assured that everything is locked down for a transparent process where there will be “no winners or losers, only a stronger ADC family.”

NO ROOM FOR CHAOS: 5 Things You Need to Know About the ADC’s Direct Primary Warning

  • The Zero-Tolerance Order: The ADC orders Atiku, Amaechi, Hayatu-Deen, and their supporters to maintain absolute peace and dignity during today’s presidential primary.

  • The Democracy Flex: National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi claims the ADC is now Nigeria’s only truly democratic party because it refuses backroom consensus deals, leaving the power entirely to open primaries.

  • Culture Check: The party warns that the conduct of the delegates and aspirants today will show the public exactly what kind of political culture an ADC presidency would bring in 2027.

  • No Winners or Losers: Leadership attempts to calm inner-party rivalries, stating that once the ballots are counted, all factions must immediately unite under one banner to rescue Nigeria.

  • The Final Verdict: The statement concludes with a blunt warning: “History will judge us not merely by who emerges as candidate, but by how we conduct ourselves in this defining moment.”

The Ultimate Identity Test: Why the ADC Leadership is Demanding Absolute Order in Today’s Primaries

On the eve of its highly anticipated presidential primary, the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has shifted its focus from logistics to internal party ethics, calling on all stakeholders to embrace a culture of peace and transparency. A Sunday briefing by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, framed today’s exercise not just as a standard political event, but as a critical showcase of the party’s core ideology ahead of the 2027 general elections.

By boldly distinguishing itself as the country’s sole remaining bastion of internal democracy through open primaries, the ADC high command is placing a heavy moral burden on its frontline aspirants. Recognizing that fierce competition can easily fracture an opposition movement, the statement deliberately de-emphasizes individual victory, urging factions to look past immediate personal gain. Whether the camps of these high-profile political heavyweights will heed this call remains to be seen, but the ADC leadership has made it clear: the integrity of the process is just as vital as the candidate who wins it.
