The Commissioner for Transportation in Ogun State, Gbenga Dairo, officially communicated this decision to the National leadership of the Union on Friday, underscoring the aim to create a peaceful and conducive environment for development in the transportation sector.

In response, the Acting National President of the union, Aliyu Issa Ọrẹ, expressed appreciation for the decision and urged all members to comply with the union’s operational regulations and the laws of the country.

Furthermore, an ad hoc committee has been established by the government to oversee the operations of the Union in the state, with Ismail Adewale, popularly known as Yaro, appointed as Chairman. Yaro has committed to collaborating with stakeholders to promote harmony within the state.

Meanwhile, just two months ago, members of the NURTW in Osun State appealed to Governor Ademola Adeleke for forgiveness and the restoration of their parks. They emphasized their status as law-abiding citizens in need of livelihoods to support their families, urging patience and cooperation as the situation is addressed.
