Expressing his satisfaction, the governor conveyed his appreciation that both Tinubu and Shettima chose not to involve themselves in the legal proceedings. Governor Yusuf also extended his gratitude to all NNPP leaders, with special mention of the party’s presidential candidate, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, for their guidance and support.

In an inclusive gesture, Governor Yusuf reached out to Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, the APC candidate, and his followers, inviting them to collaborate with his government for the progress of the state.

The statement emphasized Governor Abba’s call for unity, stating, “As a true democrat and progressive, I call on my opponent and his supporters to join hands with me in the crusade of developing our dear state Kano for the betterment of its teeming citizens.”

Highlighting the need for visionary leadership, the governor emphasized the importance of initiating projects, policies, and programs that directly impact the lives of the people throughout the state.

Expressing gratitude for the victory, Governor Abba Kabir thanked the people of Kano for their unwavering support, prayers, sacrifices, and affirmation of their elected leaders. He also acknowledged the Supreme Court Judges for upholding the integrity of the Judiciary.

Furthermore, Governor Abba expressed pleasure in noting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Deputy, Kashim Shettima, refrained from interfering in the apex court judgment despite facing substantial pressure from discontented factions.
