Buba, adopting the popular “no gree for anybody” slogan, urged citizens to stay vigilant regarding security matters and report criminal activities to law enforcement. Emphasizing an assertive stance against insecurity, he mentioned that the military’s goal for 2024 is to identify and eliminate terrorists wherever they may be hiding.
He stated, “We have demonstrated our commitment by our actions to win this war. Troops will act with tremendous force to achieve tasks ahead as we progress in the year 2024. This year, 2024, I urge citizens of this country to see security as a collective responsibility of all. Therefore, no tolerance for terrorists, no tolerance for perpetrators of insecurity.”
In a related context, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) cautioned that the widespread use of the “no gree for anybody” slogan by Nigerian youths might lead to crises in the country. The catchphrase has gained popularity on social media and in public discourse, humorously becoming a motto for the nation in 2024, conveying a message of zero tolerance for any form of misconduct or bullying.
