Sani emphasized that it is too early to forget how the North shielded the past administration from criticism, creating an environment where it almost became taboo to speak against it. He recalled facing insults, even from the Kaduna State Government and the ruling party, whenever he addressed the Senate about the kidnappings and killings in the North.

The former lawmaker urged the North to introspect and find solutions to its security challenges. He pointed out that issues that the man from Daura (referring to Buhari) did not solve in eight years cannot be expected to be resolved by the man from Lagos (Tinubu) in six months, despite his responsibility and obligation to address them. Sani’s remarks serve as a reminder of the need for consistent scrutiny and accountability regardless of the political landscape.
