Epe stated that his immediate resignation stems from the party’s shortage of national relevance and a clear political direction, noting that staying in the party no longer supports his or his supporters’ political objectives following broad consultations with stakeholders and associates. Reflecting on his past roles—ranging from committee member and National Youth Leader to South-West National Vice Chairman—he expressed gratitude for the opportunities he had, while also criticizing the party for failing to evolve into a serious national force capable of contesting federal power or maintaining active electoral momentum.

Describing the organization more as a talking shop than a functional vehicle for governance, Epe remains hopeful that the party leadership will evaluate his feedback to properly reposition the platform.
