Nigerians React As SGF Akume Issues Warning Against Fake-Appointments
Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has issued a stern warning against the fraudulent issuance of fake appointments purportedly from his office. The caution came through a statement released on Sunday by Mr. Segun Imohiosen, the Head of Information in the Office of the SGF, in Abuja….CONTINUE READING....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The SGF expressed concern about the circulation of false appointment information on social media, emails, text messages, and other platforms, enticing individuals to submit their Curriculum Vitae for a fee to a non-existent desk in his office. Akume clarified that the misinformation was aimed at deceiving unsuspecting members of the public.
He discredited the use of his office’s name and mentioned that unscrupulous elements were employing the names of individuals such as the former Director of Information, Willie Bassey, and Aliyu Isah, along with specific contact details, to defraud people.
The public was strongly advised to exercise caution and disregard such misleading information. Akume urged individuals seeking clarification or making official inquiries to use the recognized communication channels of the Office of the SGF through www.osgf.gov.ng and info@osgf.gov.ng.
The SGF concluded the statement by warning those engaged in fraudulent activities to cease immediately or face legal consequences for misusing the Office to exploit unsuspecting members of the public. This warning follows a similar caution issued earlier in the month by the SGF regarding the same deceptive practices.
