Amosun urged Oshiomhole to refrain from denigrating former President Muhammadu Buhari to please President Bola Tinubu’s administration, labeling Oshiomhole as the ‘biggest destructive threat’ to the APC during his tenure. This statement came in response to Oshiomhole’s claim that Buhari never intervened in the political crisis that led to his removal.

In a press release issued in Abuja on Wednesday, Amosun stated, “Nigerians should not be in a hurry to forget the allegations that preceded the conduct of those primaries and his eventual invitation by the Department of State Service to clarify certain grave allegations.”

Amosun dismissed Oshiomhole’s attempt to insinuate disloyalty on his part, emphasizing that Oshiomhole’s subtle remarks failed the test of loyalty. Amosun also questioned Oshiomhole’s motivations, asserting that if he sought favor from the Presidency, he should express it openly rather than resort to “cheap but typical” falsehoods.

This exchange between Amosun and Oshiomhole highlights the ongoing internal struggles within the APC and the controversies surrounding Oshiomhole’s tenure as the party’s national chairman.
