In a statement issued by Okey Kanu, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, the government mandated the removal of all 2023 election billboards before the Christmas period.

The statement clarified that the directive is applicable to all political parties, emphasizing that the removal of the billboards is essential as elections are concluded, and it is now time for governance.

“It is crucial to emphasize that this directive applies universally to all political parties in the state, and the local government chairmen are expected to ensure strict adherence,” he stated.
