Ganduje-Stresses The Importance Of A Transparent And Well-Structured APC At Book Launch (View Text)

Fayemi urged the APC’s national chairman, Umar Ganduje, to effectively communicate the party’s manifesto, relay the sentiments of Nigerians from diverse communities, and provide genuine feedback to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking at the public launch of the book titled ‘APC and Transition Politics,’ authored by Salihu Mohammed Lukman, a former National Vice Chairman (North West) of the APC, Fayemi expressed his belief that the APC should not be a mere observer in policy-making but actively engage in projecting the party’s vision.
Fayemi stated, “This party should be the one to tell Mr. President that this is the feedback from the communities and constituencies out there, not what he is hearing in the villa where he is locked up.”
Addressing the chairman, Fayemi acknowledged the importance of the book, urging party executives at various levels to read it for the rebuilding process of the party. He emphasized Ganduje’s commitment to the organic growth of the party.
Ganduje, in his remarks, highlighted the necessity of a well-structured and repositioned APC that serves the interests of the masses. He emphasized the party’s dual role as an institution responsible for appointing officials and ensuring the implementation of the party’s manifesto. Additionally, Ganduje stressed the importance of the party being accountable to the people and transparent in conveying the government’s achievements.
Prominent figures at the event included Ganduje, former APC national chairmen Adams Oshiomhole and Chief Bisi Akande, representatives of former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajuddeen Abbas, among other APC leaders.

Subsidy: ‘Demonstration Of Serious Ignorance In Governance, Economy’ – Tinubu Blasts Atiku
President Bola Tinubu has firmly criticized former vice-presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, dismissing his recent proposal to reinstate the petrol subsidy regime as a fundamental lack of understanding of economic management and governance.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Upon taking office, the current administration discontinued the fuel subsidy and floated the national currency to address structural economic imbalances. While these sweeping policy changes triggered widespread financial pressures and heightened the cost of living for average citizens, the government maintains that the reforms were essential for long-term fiscal stability.
Addressing critics from the Presidential Villa, President Tinubu defended the decision by highlighting its immediate impact on sub-national finances. He pointed out that prior to the intervention, numerous state governments struggled to meet monthly obligations to workers and retirees. According to the administration, the savings generated from ending the subsidy have since enabled states to consistently service salary arrears and pension commitments, framing the policy shift as a vital corrective measure for the nation’s broader financial framework.
