Stuck In Custody: Court Stands Firm, Rejecting El-Rufai’s Latest Move To Regain Freedom!
The Federal High Court in Abuja, led by Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, has denied former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s request to modify his bail terms. El-Rufai’s legal counsel, Paul Erokoro (SAN), had argued that requirements—such as providing Level 17 civil servant sureties with property in Maitama or Asokoro and obtaining attestation from the Kaduna State Traditional Council—were overly difficult to fulfill. The Department of State Services (DSS) opposed this request, asserting that such qualified individuals are available, and Justice Abdulmalik ruled that the conditions were not impossible to satisfy.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Additionally, the DSS has officially concluded its case in the ongoing wiretapping trial after announcing it would call no further witnesses. In response, the defense announced its plan to file a “no-case submission,” maintaining that the prosecution has not provided sufficient evidence. The court has adjourned the case until September 22 to hear the no-case submission and continue proceedings.

“Kwankwaso’s PRP Move: Baba-Ahmed Addresses The ‘Purchase’ Allegations Rocking The Party!”.

Speaking during an interview on ARISE TV’s Morning Show this Tuesday, Baba-Ahmed labeled the claims as “complete fiction.” He emphasized that Kwankwaso holds no affiliation with the PRP and clarified that the individual who made the allegations is not a member of the party and lacks any authority to act on its behalf.
Key points from the Chairman’s clarification include:
-
Centralized Distribution: Baba-Ahmed asserted that all official party nomination forms are issued exclusively from Abuja, not Kano, rendering the local purchase claims impossible.
-
Fabricated Allegations: He noted that the Kano State PRP leadership has already issued a statement debunking the rumors, suggesting the story is a product of local political maneuvering.
-
