The court dismissed the case brought by Senator Aisha Dahiru Binani of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who was Fintiri’s closest challenger.
After the March 2023 polls, Binani, citing widespread irregularities and non-compliance with the electoral act, filed a petition with the Adamawa State Governorship Electoral Petitions Tribunal seeking to invalidate Fintiri’s victory.
Despite the Tribunal upholding Fintiri’s election in October, Binani appealed the decision, leading to the recent affirmation of Fintiri’s win by the Court of Appeal.
