What is your perspective on the Court of Appeal’s validation of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s election?

The court’s decision came as a complete surprise, considering the evidence and exhibits we presented. We believe the election was inconclusive, as indicated by the third judge. We reject the ruling, confident that our party won, and will proceed to the final court for justice.

Why do you think the judgment deviated, and do you believe the electoral umpire, INEC, compromised?

The judgment doesn’t align with the evidence we provided. INEC’s inability to defend itself at the tribunal raises concerns about its impartiality. The 2023 general election reflects INEC’s bias and compromise, jeopardizing democracy across states, not just Ogun.

Do you share Dino Melaye’s view that the judiciary is now a department of the APC?

The Ogun case differs from Kogi, and we’re hopeful for justice at the Supreme Court. Discrepancies among the justices may stem from varied perspectives, but we trust the Supreme Court to deliver justice.

What is your response to the APC’s claim that internal issues hindered your party’s victory?

The APC’s comments lack seriousness. We resolved internal conflicts before the elections, evident in our unified campaign. Dapo Abiodun’s victory is temporary, and he lacks the moral ground to celebrate.

Regarding allegations of vote-buying, how do you counter the APC’s accusations?

The APC’s accusations are baseless. We presented evidence of their attempts to buy votes, including distributing money with APC branding. Our campaign focused on issues, not inducements.

How would you describe governance in Ogun State under Governor Abiodun?

Governance is lacking, characterized by frivolities and a lack of a pragmatic approach. The state is not competitive, contrasting with our tenure between 2003 and 2011, when people were happier.

What about the state of local government development?

Local government autonomy has been eroded, with the governor approving constituency projects. This undermines the local governments’ independence, a constitutional and moral violation.

Are you confident about winning at the Supreme Court?

We believe justice will prevail with God’s grace. We’re confident in our case and trust the Supreme Court’s impartiality.

Regarding the rise in crime, do you blame the governor or the security chiefs?

The governor is the Chief Security Officer, responsible for safeguarding citizens. The recent incidents indicate a lack of government responsiveness to security challenges.

How do you assess the current economic condition of the country?

Nigeria’s economy is in disarray, requiring urgent intervention. The APC lacks a viable response, and under Atiku Abubakar’s leadership, we could implement rescue measures.

What caused Atiku’s loss in the election, and do you foresee a merger with other parties?

A comprehensive merger is essential to oust the APC. Atiku is actively involved in this effort, driven by a collective goal to rescue Nigeria from the APC’s grip.

Your thoughts on the state governor’s presented budget, titled ‘Budget of Sustainable Hope’?

We are still analyzing the budget, but initial observations suggest it cannot sustain growth. It allocates a significant portion to meals and entertainment, contributing to the state’s existing challenges.

“The End Of The Starmer Era? PM Reportedly Ready To Resign After Losing Support Of Party Leaders!”.

Published

on

UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is reportedly weighing a potential resignation following significant political pressure within the Labour Party. This uncertainty follows Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham’s strong electoral win in Makerfield, which has fueled internal demands for a leadership change. While Starmer has previously expressed his intent to remain in office, associates suggest he is currently contemplating his future at Chequers to avoid party instability, with some allies estimating only a 25 percent likelihood that he continues to fight for his position. Reports indicate that high-ranking officials, including Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander, have encouraged him to prepare for an orderly transition, even as other party members warn that a forced exit could lead to electoral disaster for Labour.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Facing growing isolation and calls for a leadership transition, Prime Minister Keir Starmer is currently considering stepping down. The pressure on Starmer intensified after Andy Burnham’s decisive 55 percent victory in the Makerfield election, an outcome many in the Labour Party view as evidence that Burnham is better equipped to counter political rivals like Nigel Farage. Although Starmer’s loyalists caution that removing him could trigger chaotic government instability and strengthen the opposition, multiple MPs have described the Prime Minister as increasingly isolated, with some suggesting a planned handover is the most responsible path forward for the party and the country.

The Labour Party is currently navigating a period of internal turmoil, as Prime Minister Keir Starmer evaluates whether to resign amid deteriorating support from his own ranks. Sources close to Starmer report that he is prioritizing the stability of the government while reflecting on his political future. While some Labour lawmakers argue that Andy Burnham’s recent electoral success makes him a stronger leader for the party’s future, others fear that an immediate leadership contest would invite chaos and jeopardize the party’s standing ahead of the next general election. Despite his public commitment to “fight” to remain in power, insiders suggest that Starmer’s position has been severely weakened, leaving him to decide between continuing his tenure or facilitating an orderly departure.

“Tinubu Is No School Prefect! Presidency Fires Back, Demands Nigerians Hold State Governors Accountable!”.

Published

on

Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Policy Communication, has called on Nigerians to shift their focus and hold state governors accountable for governance. Addressing the issue on , Bwala emphasized that under Nigeria’s federal system, the President is not a “prefect” over state leaders. He argued that state accountability must be driven by citizens and their respective Houses of Assembly, noting that substantial federal allocations—such as the ₦2.26 billion received by a local government between January and March—should be sufficient to fund primary healthcare, schools, and infrastructure if managed properly. Bwala concluded that without local oversight, increased federal funding will not solve the country’s ongoing challenges.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Presidential aide Daniel Bwala recently urged citizens to demand transparency from their state governors, asserting that President Tinubu cannot be expected to oversee the daily administration of every state. Bwala highlighted that federalism grants State Houses of Assembly the responsibility for oversight, mirroring the role the National Assembly plays at the federal level. By pointing to multi-billion naira allocations reaching local governments, Bwala suggested that these funds have the potential to transform healthcare, education, and security if residents actively hold their state leaders accountable. He warned that regardless of the amount of federal support provided, progress will remain stalled unless state governance is properly monitored.

Option 3: Analytical/Formal In a recent social media post, Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Policy Communication, clarified the limitations of federal authority in a federalist structure. Responding to concerns regarding state-level governance, Bwala maintained that the President is not a supervisor to state governors. He encouraged Nigerians to utilize their local Houses of Assembly to exercise oversight regarding how the significant federal allocations—such as the ₦2.26 billion cited for a single local government earlier this year—are utilized. Bwala emphasized that these resources are meant to bolster essential services, including employment, healthcare, and infrastructure, and that civic engagement at the state level is essential for any real change to occur.
